Negotiation

Negotiating for a complex project (and often a simple one) with a Chinese supplier can be a challenging task for most people, given the language barrier, different perspectives of understanding and world view.
Many times, Chinese owned sourcing companies use their position as a way to “skim” from the manufacture price, which you end up paying for. As your sourcing agent, we understand that we must negotiate in good faith on your behalf.

A lot of times, Chinese owned sourcing companies try to use family connections first (regardless of a poor track record) in order to enrich their familial ties. They will claim that their “connection to the family” is a huge benefit to you! Sometimes, there is actually no family tie at all, and the “cousin who owns the factory” will cost you 15% on top of what you would normally pay. RBM Sourcing is not tied to any manufacturer by family bond, we only care about the business relationship, and our client comes first.

Often, Chinese Manufacturers will stand firm on a price and only negotiate in small amounts. As your agent, we know when to make demands, ask for certifications, or just walk away and find another manufacturer that will do a quality job for the right price.

It has been said that the Chinese people are the most “short-sighted” people on the planet. While we have seen this from many manufacturers, our goal is to only work with “long term thinkers” with a western mindset in business. They are out there, they are just very difficult to find.

Our job at RBM Sourcing LLC is to negotiate the best price with the best quality possible. We would love to include your company as one of our success stories.
