FAQ’s

  • What is the Open Brand sales concept?

This is an Open Brand Concept in sales. This means that the purpose is to sell the “bread and butter” product that has no restrictions so that you can make some money while you work on the special branding of other products that may contain improvements. What this allows you to do is to begin to make money with a smaller investment, once you reach a reasonable goal, you can then use that money to develop a brand and improve products that you find using Jungle Scout© or some other method. These are product ideas that people are already purchasing, you will be able to make money on these products because of the volume discount you will get by being part of a “Purchase group” in the Container Club.

  • What if I am the last one to sell all my product?

If the others in the purchase group sold all their product before me, then I know I have a hot product. This means that I can also raise my pricing a little until I find that “sweet spot” where I get the most return on my money. Yes, it may take me a little longer, but that is ok as long as I am not paying for long term storage fees with Amazon.

  • Why Cooperate with others?

A lot of people ask, “Why would I want to cooperate with other people? Aren’t they my competition? The answer to this is yes… and No. Let’s face it, there is a lot of competition with almost every product out there on Amazon. And yes, the people selling those products already are your competition. However, there is an old saying that “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” and it is that kind of thinking we are using here. By pooling together resources, those on the Container Club are able to compete against the guy that has a product on Amazon and makes say 800 sales a day on a popular product. If you have 10 people that have shared in a container, and they are able to take away 80% of his business (without being on his listing!), then that means that those ten sellers are getting 64 sales per day each. And when one of them runs out of product, the others pick up the sales they were getting. So it becomes 71 sales each for the others. This continues until the last person sells out of all their product. This kind of cooperation is beneficial to everyone involved.

  • Why can’t I just use Alibaba or Ali-express to find a supplier?

A lot of people use Alibaba and Ali-express to find suppliers for their product manufacturing. While it can be a good place to start your search, we have found that it is usually not the best place to buy. The Chinese manufacturing market is set up into “enclaves” where each one has a specialty. For instance, you buy Christmas decorations in Yiwu because that is where the markets are for that product. The best way to find a supplier is to know the markets within China. Through years of research and developing relationships, RBM Sourcing LLC understands and participates in these markets. This is the reason we are able to get the best product quality for the least expense.

  • Why can’t I just find a group of people to go in on a container myself?

You could. It is just that finding like minded people who are willing to cooperate with you in a large purchase is a little like finding a needle in a haystack. Furthermore, how do you know you can trust them? Who guides and controls the direction of the group? Who is going to handle the sourcing ? Inspections? And Shipping? With the Container Club, we handle all of these issues for you as well as put you in touch with like minded people.

  • Can I private label what we purchase in the container club?

Yes, if your Container Purchase group wants to create a private label item and share it, then we can accommodate for that, however, those individuals need to understand that no one person will own the private label product idea. If you want to put your private label onto a general product that you purchased through the Container Club, that is fine also and is encouraged to keep people from jumping on your listing.

  • What stops a person that has bought into a container with me from lowering the price below everyone else?

All products purchased will have an MAP assigned by the manufacturer. MAP stands for the Minimum Advertised Price and is a legal term that allows a manufacturer to control the pricing of products being sold. Other than that, if a person wants to sell their share of a container cheaper than me, that is fine. I can then sell mine for a higher price when they are sold out, and take advantage of the volume and interest in the product.

  • What is to stop a person in the Purchase Container group chat from low-balling the sale of the product?

They will not be able to get the same pricing and quality that we will due to the vast resources and connections we have in China.

  • Do you use Alibaba to find product?

We sometimes begin a search on Alibaba or Ali-express, however, we seldom stop there. Once we know where the enclave is, our team of Chinese researchers begin to delve into the “back streets” of the market to find the most reliable partner for the cheapest price. However, since we have our own list of suppliers, we often know where the best place to begin looking for a particular product and who we can get the best quality for the best price from.

  • Who manages the purchase?

  • Am I allowed to buy more than one share in a container?

Yes, a member is allowed to purchase up to 4 shares in any one container. The restriction is in place so that we don’t exclude people from participating.

  • Can I cancel an order once I have made it?

Once an order has been placed and paid for by a member to participate in a container purchase, the purchase can not be canceled. If you absolutely need to, you may, however, sell the container share to another Container Club member (You are not allowed to sell the share to a non-member).

  • Can I still do my private label products?

Yes, We encourage everyone to continue to develop private label products. The Container Club is used for “bread and butter” income. If you wish, RBM Sourcing LLC can help you source your private label product also.

  • Can I order an LCL of my private label product?

Yes, Contact RBM Sourcing LLC for a quote or referral. We will be happy to oblige you.

  • Why won’t you split up a load and do a regular Less Than Container Load (LCL)?

The fact is that it is difficult to get a good enough price on product to sell on Amazon in general without ordering full container loads. We don’t do LCL in order to protect the client. If you are determined to order a small quantity of something and need an LCL shipment, contact RBM Sourcing LLC for a quote or referral.

  • Can I make special arrangements with RBM Sourcing to purchase containers of product?

Yes, RBM Sourcing can help you purchase large volume of product or private label merchandise.

  • What is to stop me from stealing ideas from the Mastermind group and selling the same product?

You could. What is to stop you from stealing ideas from a friend? Nothing except that you would lose a friend. The same is true with the Container Club. If we discover someone that is taking the ideas from the group and then purchasing the product with another group, then they will be expelled from the Container Club. If someone wants to use the ideas themselves and try to go buy the product, then they will never get the product at the same price without purchasing a full container. Furthermore, they will miss out on all the Container Club’s resources and connections in China.

  • Can I sell the product for as low as I want?

The short answer is No. There will be two benchmark prices set by the manufacture. One is the MAP (minimum advertised price) and the second is a liquidation price. These two prices will be supplied by the manufacturer. The liquidation price will be enacted after a certain time period and most of the product has been sold. This will allow the participating Container Club Member to liquidate their items if they wish to. Of course, if a member wishes to hold onto the product and get the higher price, they can. The reason someone would want to liquidate their inventory is to get funds together to buy into another container.

  • Why would I bother to buy the same product as 20 other people and increase competition?

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” and it is that kind of thinking we are using here. By pooling together resources, those in the Container Club are able to compete against the guy that has a product on Amazon and makes say 800 sales a day on a popular product. This allows you to get a piece of an existing pie without much risk or expense.

  • What happens if there are glitches in the purchase?

Since we are “on the ground” in China , we have the resources to manage the manufacture and purchase of products. Furthermore, we are extremely proactive so that glitches don’t happen within the supply chain.
